Brief itinerary:

Day 1:Hanoi arrival –Hanoi evening tour (D)
Day 2:Hanoi – Sapa by bus within 5 hours (instead of 10 hours on night train). Moving on day by bus, you will have chance to admire the beautiful landscapes on the way. (B,L)
Arrival in Sapa, check in hotel and have lunch at restaurant of hotel. Free time to discover Sapa
Day 3:Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Laochai – Tavan (B,L,D) – Overnight at homestay
Day 4:Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Supan (B,L,D) – Overnight on train to Hanoi
Day 5:Hanoi arrival – Halong bay (B,L,D) – Overnight on the boat
Day 6:Halong bay – Hanoi (B,L) – arrival in Hanoi around 5:00 PM. Transfer you to the airport for your next flight. Or if you would like to extend your stay in Hanoi, please feel free to contact me.

Detailed itinerary:

Day 1: Hanoi arrival –Hanoi evening tour (D)
Arrive in Hanoi. The car and driver of VN Discovery Tours will wait and pick you up to our hotel in the center of Hanoi Old Quarter. He will hold the meeting board with your full name, with this signal; he will be easy to pick you up. Takes you to our hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter, you check in hotel before enjoy Hanoi Evening tour.
After meeting with your guide at your hotel around Hanoi Old Quarter at 4:30 Pm. Enjoy Water Puppet show at 5:15 Pm and then have dinner at 6:30. The rest time, you take a walking tour to see local market, Hanoi Old Quarter (Hanoi night market is for the week-end only). This unique evening tour ends at your hotel around 9:00 PM.

Day 2: Hanoi – Sapa by bus within 5 hours (instead of 10 hours on night train). Moving on day by berth bus, you will have chance to admire the beautiful landscapes on the way. (B,L)
After breakfast at your hotel. At 6:45, you will depart to Sapa by Bus (berth on bus).
On the way to Sapa, you will have a short rest in Phu Tho province or Yen Bai province.
Arrival in Sapa around 12:30 PM, check in hotel and have lunch at restaurant of hotel. Free time to discover Sapa town.
Overnight at hotel in Sapa.
  

Day 3: Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Laochai – Tavan (B,L,D) – Overnight at homestay
After breakfast at hotel.
Start the trip at 9:30 as below.
You will start a 12 km of trekking, visit Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai villages of the H’mong minority. After lunch at a local family in Lao Chai or in a drinking shop nearby the river bank, we keep on hiking to Ta Van village of the Dzay where we stay overnight in a local family. Here you have opportunity to experience their daily life, work and original custom.

Day 4: Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Supan (B,L,D) – Overnight on train to Hanoi
Breakfast will be serving at the homestay at about 8Am Start trekking at 9:30 Am
You start with 8 km walking to visit 2 villages of the red Dzao, the H’mong (Giang Ta Chai & Su Pan). Visit a beautiful waterfall and rattan bridge. Enjoy landscapes… through bamboo forest on the way to the main road to get the jeep to return to Sapa around 3:00 PM. You will have time to take a shower and Have dinner before transferred to the Laocai train station.

Day 5: Hanoi arrival – Halong bay (B,L,D) – Overnight on the boat
Arrival in Hanoi around 5:30 AM, our tour guide will pick you up and transfer you to our hotel in Hanoi. You have breakfast before going to Halong bay.
08h00 – 08h30: Pick-up at hotel and start the scenic, 3.5 hour drive to Halong Bay.  Enjoy the landscape of the Red River Delta country side and have a short break on the way.
12h00 – 12h30: Embark on Cruise followed by a short cruise briefing
13h00 – 15h30: Savor a delectable lunch as V’Spirit Classic Cruises among the limestone islands…
15h30 – 16h30: Kayak among the hidden areas of the bay, around the  Luon Cave area.
16h30:Back to the Cruise
16h30 – 17h30: Cruise to Soi Sim island. Go swimming and relaxing at the beach of Soi Sim or climp up to the top of the island for a panorama view of Halong Bay
17h30: Return to the main boat for a shower. Relax or snap photos as the sun starts to set
19h00:Dinner is served. Socialize with other guests, fish for squid, or just laze around.
Overnight on the board.
  

Day 6: Halong bay – Hanoi (B,L)
06h30 – 07h00: Start your day with Tai Chi exercises or a photo hunt
07h30 – 08h30:Have breakfast at sunrise.
08h30 – 09h30: Explore the amazing Sung Sot Cave – the nicest cave in Halong Bay.
09h30: Return to the boat. Freshen up and check out of your cabin.
09h30 – 10h30: Continue your cruise exploring the Bay, passing Ba Hang fishing village, Dog Islet and more…
10h30 – 11h30:While heading back to the habor, watch the cooking demonstration before enjoying a traditional Vietnamese lunch.
12h00: Disembark Cruise
12h30: Transfer back to your hotel in Hanoi city center.
16h30 – 17h00: Arrive in Hanoi.
