Firework display to held in Ho Chi Minh City on Reunification Day
 
 
Ho Chi Minh city will organise a high-range firework display in eight locations city-wide on April 30th, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the liberation of the southern region and National Reunification Day.
 
Specifically, the firework will be displayed from 22:00 to 22:15 at Bitexco Building in district 1, Ben Duoc Martyr Commemoration Temple in Cu Chi District, Giong T-junction Martyr Monument in Hoc Mon District, Lang Le – Bau Co historic relic in Binh Chanh District, Can Gio District football field, national history and culture park in district 9, Dam Sen Cultural Park in District 11 and Go Vap Flower Market park.
 
According to the organising board for the celebration of big national holidays, in the early morning of April 30th, military and civilian parades will be held on Le Duan street in District 1 with the participation of 6,000 people being soldiers, policemen and students.
 
A grand meeting will be held followed by the parades. The events will be broadcast live on television nationwide.
 
The cerebration aims at honouring the historical significance of the April 30th victory, commemorating the individuals who sacrificed their lives for the country’s liberation as well as highlighting the great achievements of the country in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular over the past four decades./.
