 France prioritizes visas for Vietnamese tourists
 
The French embassy is to sign partnership agreements on May 15 with six of Viet Nam’s travel companies in order to help them expedite the granting of visas to their clients.  
 
 
These agreement will allow travel operators to make priority appointments at the French Embassy. Moreover, the embassy will simplify visa procedures and requirements  for those who have traveled to in Europe and other nations in the past.
 
Mathias Fekl, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, the Promotion of Tourism and French Nationals Abroad is expected to witness the signing ceremony with these travel agencies.
 
The French Government has decided on this strategy, based on the number of tourists from Vietnam to Frances sharply increasing.   Last year, some 24, 269 visas, 11,000 of which were for tourists were granted.  This is an overall increase of 28.7% over a year earlier.
 
The selected participant travel agencies Hanoi Red Tour, Naci Travel, Hanoi Iso Tours, Hanoi Tourist, South Pacific Travel, and Vietfoot Travel.
 
Visa granting formalities will remain unchanged for all other cases. Visa application documents will be submitted through appointments by the French embassy and consulate general.
