Viet Nam attends world biggest tourism fair in Germany
 
As many as 50 Vietnamese travel companies are showcasing their products and services at the 49th International Tourism Fair (ITB) which opened on March 3 at the Messe Berlin exhibition centre in Berlin, Germany.
 
The world largest annual tourism fair will include booths set up by nearly 10,000 travel companies, hotels, tourism groups and restaurants from 186 countries and territories, and will remain open through March 8.
 
General Director of the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) Nguyen Van Tuan highlighted the goal to position Viet Nam as a beautiful, friendly and safe country through tourism presentations at the fair.
 
Visiting Viet Nam’s booth, Parliamentarian Jurgen Klimke noted 2015 will mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries, and expressed his hope that bilateral relations will intensify.
 
In return, Vietnamese Ambassador in Germany Nguyen Thi Hoang Anh discussed expectations in tourism collaboration growth between Viet Nam and Germany at different levels such as State, businesses, and people.
 
About 125,000 Vietnamese nationals currently live in Germany, and over 100,000 Vietnamese speak German.
