Da Nang sets up action plans for tourism in 2015
 
The Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on December 15th announced information and an action plan for Da Nang – Top Traveler’s Choice Destination on the Rise for 2015, the title awarded by the US’s tourism website TripAdvisor.
 
Accordingly, in 2015, the local tourism sector will organise a series of activities to speed up communications, carry out surveys on customers’ ideas from TripAdvisor and other tourism websites on Da Nang’s tourism as well as promotion plans for 2015 and invite international press to Da Nang to advertise the hotspot.
 
The city will bring more new and high-quality products to serve tourists, organise Da Nang International Firework Competition 2015 and other tourism and cultural festivals and continues to train professional and quality tourism human resources.
 
Earlier, the InterContinental Da Nang Sun Peninsula Resort has been honoured with the “World’s Leading Luxury Resort” award at the World Travel Awards (WTA) Grand Final. The resort triumphed over 500 other world-class resorts and hotels worldwide, which were all competing in 79 categories at this year’s awards.
 
Mr Tran Chi Cuong, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism stressed that the two international prestigious awards have posed hug challenges to Da Nang in the near future and the city will make efforts to satisfy the expectation of the world tourism community./.
