Viet Nam attends International Travel Fair Intourmarket 2015 in Russia

(TITC) - On 14 March 2015, the 10th International Travel Fair Intourmarket (ITM) 2015 was officially opened at Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre (Moscow, Russia). Deputy Director General of Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) Nguyen Quoc Hung leads Vietnamese delegation to attend this event.

ITM is an annual tourism fair supported by Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, Russian Federal Agency for Tourism and Moscow City Committee for Tourism and Hotel Industry. The fair aims create the opportunities for national tourism organizations to promote, advertise destinations; Russian and international tourism enterprises to exchange experience and cooperate business; visitors to learn about new tourism products in the fields such as summer leisure; business tourism and MICE; adventure holidays; spa, wellness and heath tourism; educational tourism; cruises, city and sightseeing tours…

In ITM 2015, VNAT constructs the Viet Nam tourism stand with an area of 18m² (equivalent to two standard stands) to introduce and promote Viet Nam – Timeless Charm; activities of National Tourism Year 2015 – Thanh Hoa with the theme “Connecting World Heritage”; specific tourism products for Russian market (sea-island leisure; sea-island leisure combined with culture tourism; MICE tourism; city tours; eco-tourism…).

In the strategy on Viet Nam tourism development to 2020, vision 2030, Russia is identified as one of important source markets. In 2014, Russia is among the top 10 markets sending tourists to Viet Nam with 364,873 arrivals, up 22.4% compared to 2013. Viet Nam attends ITM 2015 to implement “Tourism cooperation plan between Viet Nam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Russian Federal Agency for Tourism in the period 2013-2015” and enhance promotion of the images of Viet Nam country and people to Russian tourists; thereby contributing to maintaining the growth rate of Russian market – a source market with high expenditure of Viet Nam tourism.

ITM 2015 will take place until late 17 March 2015.
