Strengthening cultural, sports, tourism cooperation between Viet Nam and Russia
 
 
(TITC) - On 26 May 2015, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh had a talk with the Russian Ambassador to Viet Nam Vnukov Konstantin Vasilievich on strengthening cooperation of culture, sports and tourism.
 
 
Recently, the two sides collaborated to organize many cultural events successfully such as Vietnamese cultural days in Russia, Russian cultural days in Viet Nam, Russian film week in Viet Nam; Viet Nam also took part in some events in Russia namely The Asia-Europe Forum on Inter-Cultural and Inter-Religious Dialogue, International Circus Festival.
 
Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with Viet Nam – Russia Friendship Association and Russian Embassy in Viet Nam held Photo Exhibition with theme “the 65th diplomatic relations of Viet Nam – Russia” on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Russia (January 1950 – January 2015), and Documentary Exhibition on “President Ho Chi Minh with Russia” to celebrate  President Ho Chi Minh’s 125th Birthday (19 May 1890 – 19 May 2015).
 
In the field of tourism, Minister Hoang Tuan Anh highly valued Russia being one of the leading countries sending tourists to Viet Nam. The number of Russian tourists has been increasing significantly recently.
 
Ambassador Vnukov Konstantin Vasilievich expressed his gratitude to the warm welcome of Minister Hoang Tuan Anh. He said that Viet Nam is an attractive destination for international tourists including Russian tourists. He promised to boost bilateral cooperation in the fields of culture, sports and tourism, contribute to tightening close relationship between Viet Nam and Russia.
