Viet Nam Culture and Tourism Festival 2015 opens in Japan
 
 
The Viet Nam Culture and Tourism Festival 2015, co-organised by the Vietnamese Consul General in Osaka and Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, opened on June 9th, in Osaka, Japan.
 
 
The event was attended by Mr. Vuong Duy Bien, Deputy Minister, of Culture, Sports and Tourism Mr. Tran Duc Binh, the Vietnamese Consulate General, in Osakaand representatives from other authorities in the prefecture.
 
After the opening, delegates and local people had the chance to enjoy Vietnamese folk singing and water puppetry performances by actors and actresses of the Central Puppetry Theatre.
 
This was the first time the Viet Nam Culture and Tourism Festival had introduced the unique, traditional folk art of water puppetry to the Japanese people of Osaka to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Southern Liberation (April 30th) and the 70th anniversary of National Day (September 2nd).
 
It is reported that about 5,200 Vietnamese people are living and working and Osaka./.
