Bát Tràng ceramics are considered some of the best known porcelain products in Vietnam besides those of Chu Đậu, Đồng Nai, Phu Lang, and Ninh Thuận. The history of ceramic making in this village can be traced back as far as the 14th century AD. During the past centuries, Bát Tràng ceramic products have travelled in European trading ships to all parts of the world.
Vạn Phúc is a village traditionally associated with silk weaving in Hà Đông, 8 km south-west of Hanoi.
It is the best known silk village in Vietnam, and one of the best developed and most visited craft village near Hanoi which has over 90 officially designated handicraft villages.
